Risk Assessment of Public Water Supply System as Part of Operation Plan
Hájek, Břetislav ; Viščor,, Pavel (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the assessment of public water supply risks using the WaterRisk application created at the Institute of Municipal Water management, Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering. The thesis deals with the basic principles and methods of risk assessment. The thesis also focuses on testing the application WaterRisk and revising its manual. In the last part I deal with risk analysis of specific water supply system.
Technical audit of the water supply system
Sovák, Zdeněk ; Svoboda, Miroslav (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the technical audit of a water supply system. The subject of the thesis is the preparation of a case study. The aim of the thesis is to describe the problems of the water supply system in the locality of interest and to propose appropriate measures to improve the existing situation.
Risk analysis of the Hradek water supply system
Hofmannová, Lenka ; Svoboda,, Miroslav (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on risk analysis of water supply system in a small community. The WaterRisk project was solved by using tools of risk management including risk identification and quantification in the field of public water supply systems. Methodology and software for the risk management of water supply were evolved by using this project. In this thesis there is applied the methodology to the water supply system of Hradek village. The hydraulic analysis was performed for a thorough knowledge of water supply and its characteristic behavior. Risk analysis could be performed thanks to the knowledge of the entire system, its working and the most common faults. Analysis results are evaluated and compared for the water supply system which is consider like a system simple and complex. The corrective actions eliminate number of risks. These actions were proposed like a part of complex methodology. Further, there were determined optimal costs which corresponds with these corrective actions.
Evaluation of water losses in the Brno city
Poláchová, Monika ; Viščor, Pavel (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
The thesis deals with different approaches of water supply operators to the topic of water losses including water loss reporting both in the Czech Republic and abroad. It is focused on the Infrastructure Leakage Index (ILI) and within the proposed Methodology of ILI evaluation according to minimum night flows, the thesis tries to apply such an evaluation of water losses for three hydraulically separate pressure zones of water supply in the city of Brno and two water distribution systems in small villages. At the end, recommendations for individual operators of the water supply systems in the analyzed areas are described, leading to the extension of the possibilities of monitoring and reporting of water losses in the network.
Pilot study on the risk assessment of selected water supply
Jedličková, Ivana ; Svoboda,, Miroslav (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on risk evaluation of water line for public use. The risk analysis is done in compliance with the methodology created by VODÁRENSKÁ AKCIOVÁ SPOLEČNOST, a. s. and by the method WaterRisk, created by Institute of Municipal Water management, Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering. The thesis clarifies the key points of the topic in question. Its readiness for passing in the Czech Republic and its core in relation to legislature. Then the thesis also includes a description of a specific water line. In the following two chapters the risks are studied according to the methodologies chosen.
